This is really something pretty impressive. Science Teacher Steve Murrie developed this huge (1 mm = 1 km) poster to illustrate the thickness of the Earth’s interior and atmosphere in an accurate representation. -- Students can easily see how thin the Earth’s crust is compared to the other layers, how little atmosphere we have to protect us from fast-moving objects moving through space, and how relatively small our biosphere is compared to the vastness of the universe. -- Includes: instructions with activities.
