Working in small cooperative groups, students use letters and red and blue tiles (representing female and male parents respectively) to build Punnett Squares for mono- and dihybrid crosses. -- They cross two heterozygous pea plants, solve “alien” problems by crossing a heterozygous yellow-eyed alien with a pink-eyed alien, and work on other problems they create themselves.
