Students will have an opportunity to look at and describe 25 elements during this observation lab. -- While describing a substance is difficult, the problem is reduced with the element set because students can actually see the element. Each element is packaged in a heavy-duty plastic vial (approx. 5 cm long x 2.5 cm dia.) that allows for full viewing of each element. -- Five elements (arsenic, bromine, iodine, mercury and phosphorus) are packaged in heat-sealed glass ampoules. Both the container and the container closure are labeled. -- Includes: list of elements, durable plastic case (35 cm x 25 cm x 10 cm) with handle and foam rubber cushions, and teacher demonstration notes. |
